Capturing the rolling hills of the Hudson Valley in this piece, this piece features three forked branches intertwined with single sticks, all left in their natural form before being sealed. For the mountains, I used several shades of green wool and yarn, layering needle-felted roving to mimic the texture of treetops. The sky comes alive with soft hues of blue wool, adding depth and contrast. The offshoots of the branches create playful pathways, giving the miniature toy hikers their own whimsical trails to explore.
